Logos
The nice thing about starting a completely new blog is that you don't feel any strain of guilt for not updating.
But this is not cats and dogs we're talking about here, this is war.
Take for instance the Church of God logo. We have a well known ancient roman torture device, which now the logo for Christianity and Catholicism. I guess the two religions went in 50/50 on a low cost PR guy. I think if either were to get a new logo, I think they should opt for a circle. I think a circle is a lot more meaningful, and it would be a lot safer necklace. It could represent the tomb and how God is all around us. I think the Church of God was going for this when they designed their logo.
At the board meeting:
"What could we use as a new logo for our denomination"
"A circle!"
"Yeah, but if we just went with a circle, people may not recognize that we're affiliated with Christianity"
"Well what if we just do both?"
"Brilliant"
But after reviewing the first draft, they realized they had designed a logo for something else altogether.
"We want to show that the COG is open to all people"
"Lets open the circle!"
"All races?"
"A gradient!"
"We're super charismatic!"
"Add a bit of flare then!"
"Brilliant"
"Church of God: Where God and Church is not only part of our service, but its also in our name"
